Finally some 22LR in stock at local Walmart

Our local Walmart hasn't had 22LR on the shelves in probably 8 months. Finally they had about 10 "bricks" of Federal AutoMatch (325 round boxes), for $21 per. Bought 5 of them. Not thrilled at the price, but not as bad as I've seen some online retailers and gun show tables gouging for 22LR bulk ammo.
Brings my 22 stocks back above 10,000 rounds... my comfort level.

Careful, some folks are going to be upset by you calling that a "brick".

After aprox 18mo my Wally's finally has 22lr back. They have had Fed A/M in stock for a few weeks now... and it is still in stock! 6.6 cents per round after the drought we've been through is good price in my book.

My local Wally has some 300 round boxes of Winchester in stock at $40 / box. Just ordered some CCI SV direct from the CCI website for $5 / box of 50.

Ammo at availability Walmart seems to have a lot to do with weather the store or sporting goods manager is a shooter or hunter. Or not, imo.

My closest local Wally took out the ammo case between my previous two visits.

I've been very happy to buy locally during "the shortage" but not sure what this means. "The guy" I know was not there last time, I look forward to asking him what this means - if he even knows.

The Walmarts around my area starting putting pokeman cards and sports cards in the ammo case so they could lock them up from thieves. Plenty of room they never get any ammo anymore.

I kinda wander sometimes if the ammo at Walmart is a store by store or region thing..Mine has had a .22 ammo off and and on for atleast three months now..

Cases still have Rifles, and ammo in them and the spaces that do not, Just have price tags..No Cards,LOL

My local farms stores have 22 and centerfire..But their asking prices ar ridiculous..So it stays there for awhile, till a sucker comes along.

Our local walmart is a bit far to drive to and check. The hardware supply store use to have lots of ammo, they have been having a bit but not much. I bought an 800 Federal box for more than I wanted, but said, why not.

The Walmart in the Spokane Valley has had a few 300 rds super x for 40.00 a box. No one around here is interested it don’t look like. I don’t need them, I just sold a Remington bucket of bullets for 100.00, now I am down to about 23k.I bought all of it after the last great 22 shortage on sale when prices went back down. Now I think the prices probably won’t go down much. If it does everyone buy as much as you think you need plus 10k. It is not hoarding, it is being prepared. It is nice to go to the range without worrying about shooting 100 to many 22. And yes this will happen again, just a matter of time. This didn’t just apply for 22, I stocked up on 10mm, 9mm, 12ga, 20 ga, 45 auto.

Local Wal-Mart's in our county had a bunch of the 300 round boxes of Winchester Power Points today. Didn't notice the price assume it's the same as everywhere else.

Yeah Phil, I think Walmarts are pretty consistent with price, regardless of region. Our's got a bunch of Winchester in the fancy yellow boxes in... Shotgun, centerfire, then last I stopped in, rimfire (the 300 packs mentioned above). I couldn't find the price for it, so had the guy grab my limit of 3. As I saw $40.xx ring up for each one, I said hold on a minute. That's the right price? Ummm, no thanks. I had gotten Super-X 333 packs there not long ago, for somewhere in the low $20-ish range. Maybe the fancy yellow box is meant to lure us in I mean if it's truly cost of components, supply chain, etc... I can understand. But it still seems there's someone profiting a little extra from all this. LGS had 525 packs of Golden Bullets for $39.99 on my next stop. Not great, but grabbed one, just to keep the supply up.
Based on AmmoSeek prices, .22's have seemed to settle in at 9-10 cents a round. Hopefully will drop some more...
