I want to say because we live longer, but my first was a lady I was involved with who wasn't even 30. One of my ex's friends the same. My best friend was early 60's. Known several in the 30's and 40's. All the women were breast cancer, all the men prostate. A kid in high school with brain cancer but he died in an auto wreck, probably for the better. My dad was 83 but healthier than me (prostate). Another friend my age but hers is melanoma and with her lifestyle (tennis and golf and vacations laying on the beach) it's not surprising. My 80-yr-old mom looks better than her. She was possibly the most gorgeous woman I'd ever seen when I met her 30 years ago.

Brain fart, I meant Taiwan.

Google says cancer rate has risen 30% from 1973 to 2015. Maybe its the fluoride they dump in for teeth.

Winter, I'm ready.

I think their are three reasons we are noticing more cancer .
1 living longer
2 better testing
3 change in diet

I also know more cancer survivors - so there is that.
Seems like it is less of a death sentence than it used to be.

ETA : I also know people that have had multiple bout of cancer - I wonder how that affect numbers.

Without looking at how they measured the rate it may not be what it appears.
Cancer detection may have risen at a higher rate.

No fluoride with well water but I do get the fluoride rinse after a fang cleaning 2x a year.

Lung cancer should be way down as most have quit the filthy habit.

I know winter is coming, I keep hoping to cut dry grass one more time, first snow the blower comes out of the shed and the mower goes in. Tyre appointment set up for 10/29. New snows all the way around.

From the number of new home builds, winter isn't keeping people away like it used to. I'm blaming it on global warming or just climate variation, pick your pony on that.

Handsome young man. What happened?

I also was a pretty young un. Got my first haircut after many wimmens commented on what a pretty girl he had.

Unfortunately it was all down hill from there.

Home coming was a nice success, speaker was excellent with quite a story to share...58 days on a ventilator in an induced coma, followed by 53 days of rehab before going home. Quite a Covid story.

I may have missed my calling , seems I do very well ladling out green beans/w ham (this is a Southern thing), two services and two serving with a very large turn out, I was masked and gloved.

Home and a nap.

Rode Fling wing flyers dozens of times, we regularly rode every thing that had two seats that we controlled at Hurlburt, Training flights over Eglins swampy terrain were entertaining, fire missions with Door gunner trainees were neat. Later when working at Anniston's Airport in Alabama spent a lot of time riding with the DoD pilots out of Anniston Army Depot.

One of my latest adventures has me managing a group of guys that have no really specific job titles. We are like a special project division. Do anything group.
I think I'm going with the Joat's - Jack of all trades.

Every one of my guys biggest problem is no matter where they are they are missed somewhere else.

Ham and green beans would be perfect with taters and gravy. I better start on my supper.

Home coming. Not a place for the dieters.
