As a past DU employed biologist...those donations don't go the 87% they claim to the ducks...it lines pockets of big wigs in the organization and supplies lots of booze to staff...

Speaking from experience, ya know ...

Have been slaving away on a John Deere 4500 for an elderly farmer. Dude's 82 years old and still at it. Doesn't want to put much into old equipment at his age but he wants to keep doing what he loves. Super interesting old guy full of great stories and has a mind like a steel trap. Told him I want to be like him when I grow up. "Dunno if you want that, son!"

Stuff is a real pita to work on in these machines. Needs a bearing replaced on the elevator that lifts the grain into the bin. Bunch of chains tensioned. That's easy enough. But replacing a couple main drive belts and a couple smaller vee belts that drive...something or other...is not trivial. New experience for me but wanted to help this old gentlemen out and he was more than keen to let me have a go at it.

Do all farmers talk as much as this dude, I wonder? Yesterday it was an enormous dissertation on the invasive proliferation of so called "super weeds". Spell binding stuff.

A rainy day. 49 degrees out there.

Katz have all gone back to bed, I'm on my first cuppa joe, dawn soon to come.

I wonder what trouble I can get into today?

That's all for now, more later...

When I started driving I rode motorcycle most of the time. Would by $100 car, and put winter recaps on to get me through the winter. Never had a tire problem. The bigger concern was the car itself making it till spring.

Off and on drizzle, said to reach 55*, and stay that way a few days.

I've had winter recaps on my suburban for a couple of years now, no problems.

Good morning all!

Busy work week, and a fun Friday night out and about! Met up with the restaurantcutie at dinner. Chatted it up for a bit. This has potential. Went to the local night club afterward and met another gal who was super friendly. We talked for a while (till closing) and I will probably be seeing her again tonight if I end up going there. I have her phone number, and will probably give her a call at some point either way.

Lots of drivel here, so had to sped red it. I am sure I missed a few things.

Nice pics!
Good droning report.
OUCH!!!
Good DIY mechanic stuff.
Get well!
Great avatars!

I watched it to the end hoping for something solid. Oh well.

Thanks for posting it anyway Don!

My thoughts (without actually knowing anything) is that every firearm rule starting with #1 was broken. Someone really screwed up by not czeching the gun to make sure it was clear. Obviously there were not any knowledgeable gun folks present.

I really feel bad for the poor woman (and mom) that was killed. I hope they sue the crap out of all involved including AB.
Maybe a few criminal negligence charges should be filed!

I am off to watch a High School football game. My old High School is having their Homecoming today! I graduated there back in.......well, the dinosaurs had just died so....

Dinner later, and then off to take a look at last night's chick without my vodka glasses on!

Have a great day everyone!

Got to watch out for that Mickey Gilley effect. Course it works both ways, so say the girls.

Never take a mid day or evening flight. Plane delayed 1 1/2 hours. Wife and I sitting in the United Club eating free crappy food. We board in 30 minutes. Fingers crossed 🤞.

Looks as if the avatar would be screaming, "How dare you!"

51įA with clouds. Had a few light showers earlier. WW say a low of 38 tonight and to batten down the hatches while getting the ark ready for tomorrow's rain and wind.

Lot's of sirens heard incoming to the nearby hospital last night, and at least one air air ambulance chopper flight heard.

Nothing major planned today, just household chores if I get motivated to do so. Need to scrape the frosting off the inside of the doughnut box lid. Making groceries bagger yesterday placed the box upside down in the grocery buggy buggy yesterday. I live an exciting life.

Sun trying to peek out.

Gobbler, do you have a recliner in there? If it had a cat walk around it, you could use it as a fire watch tower.

If he makes it any nicer he could rent it as a bachelor pad.
