These are fine old rifles . Mine is a 42M(c) in very good shape that had belonged to my grandpa . I never knew he had it until he passed . Had I known I would have pestered him relentlessly . It was discovered in a blanket chest and my grandmother told me to get it out of there . She never appreciated firearms . It has an extra magazine in the trapdoor butt plate along with a Mossberg No.M4 (b) 4 power scope with a Mossberg No. 8 side mount attached along with the original front and rear swing away peep sights . The rear sight part number for your rifle is S102 by a 1953 Stoegers Shooter bible which was a whole $ 1.40 complete at the time . I would include some pictures of this rifle but lack the patience to learn how .

I shot it for the first time today. This rifle was already dialed in with the peep sight and was highly accurate. It's definitely a keeper!

Beautiful! Looks like you still have the 22 short adapter screw in the magazine.
