I'm sure you will find that then front & rear anchor points will hold everything tight. However, I will very likely add a pillar to the front of the stock & epoxy bed an escutcion in the rear.

Doug

More than adequate, yes.

Easy to find 12-24 screws in a variety of lengths and drive styles?

Nope.

Still an excellent design though-

Can’t wait to see what you build!

New CST Build

So here it is -- the CST Receiver is beautifully made with very tight tolerances. This one has the integrated rail, and the CST Match Bolt. It has a Ruger Polymer Trigger with a KIDD Drop-in Trigger Kit, a Green Mountain 20" Sporter Barrel, all in a custom Cherry Finger Groove stock from Evan Koch (our own ek-marlin-424), a young man of incredible talent. (Incidentally, that stock also has a checkered Ebony butt plate.) The scope is a discontinued, hard-to-find Sightron 3-9x36 AO with Fine Duplex.

VERY CLASSY BUILD, Doug!

Do you have plans to install a rear action screw on that one? If you do, or pay to have it done, make sure that whoever does the work takes plenty of pictures for the good of the rest of us.

Looking forward to the range report, too!!!

If I wasn't mostly building quiet little Chargers, I would use CST receivers exclusively. They are higher quality than their price would suggest, and beautifully finished. My sole CST receiver has a KIDD barrel and Timney trigger, in a Boyds At-One stock. It's easily the most accurate rifle I own. And Mike was great to work with. They are one of the few products I can recommend without hesitation.

I asked about a CST get 2 hold open a few months back, and most on here just said "WHY?"

I ordered one anyways, and could not find any info online to modify an existing bolt to make it work. Put it in the drawer for later use.

Well, turns out last week I was looking for parts to start a new build, and came across a dealer in Canada with the CST parts. Not easy ordering out of the US with all the paperwork and bs involved, so I was surprised to find they carried these.

As is turns out I ordered a CST bolt to go with the gen 2 hold open I already have. Kidd trigger arrived today to add it to and make it ready for duty.

Good to hear they have been working out for others, and I can't wait to get mine into action. Looks like my SBI receiver will be about a week out. My stock probably a few weeks still, so I will be chomping at the bit by the time it even gets close.

Truthfully already chomping on the bit. Dang I hate waiting weeks for builds.
