Anyone know the year, or years, that Ruger sold 10/22s with Red & Gray Laminate stocks? Thanks.

why do you need to know this? is it a complete rifle that you're wondering about or just a stock? is it a Carbine stock or one of the newer Target models?

if it's a complete rifle, you can look up the serial# here, for the year of manufacture of a 10/22...at least you can up to 2017..after that Ruger must have gotten lazy, since they haven't updated the list after that

The fellow that I bought the rifle from, says it's a replacement stock. The rifle itself is a 2010 model, (carbine). It came with the normal black synthetic stock, he says. The red & gray stock was used when he bought it. He thought it would make his rifle look better. he was right because I bought the rifle from him.

The reason I'm asking about the year is; I just want to know.

A new guy in town walks into the LGS and asks where to go to get the best steak in town. One of the regulars tells him “you really should eat chicken”.

I believe Volquartsen makes a red and grey laminate stock. I have one for my takedown model.

The serial number puts the rifle as 2010 manufacture. The serial number is 355-71111. The fellow I bought it from says it came with a black, synthetic, stock. He purchased the Ruger laminated stock, that was used, from another person.

I once had a 2013, 10/22 with a green/grey laminate stock. As of now, I'm thinking the red/grey stock might be from 2013 also?

I was wondering what year Ruger sold 1022s, with the red/grey laminate stock. I am hoping someone on this forum could tell me.

I'll share what I found out:

I found a post on another forum stating they had the lime green and the red/grey laminated stock rifles. It was dated 5/4/2011. Also, stated they were Davidson exclusives.

My red and gray ruger stock is different, but from the same forest circa 2019.

There was a few years Ruger sold the red and black laminate stock 10/22's. I am thinking they were actually sold at certain Walmarts.
