Kimber 82G Rail Size for Bipod Adapter

I should have posted a question before purchasing a Harris Bipod Adapter for my Kimber 82G. I ordered the same one, the HB6A, that fits exceptionally well on my H&R Model 12. Just like the HB6A was made specifically for the H&R 12. Wrong choice Kimber. The Kimber 82G Rail size appears to be another specification change between the two government models. Harris Bipods quickly accepted a request to exchange the HB6A for a HB6 Adaptor. I just installed the HB6 in my Kimber 82G rail. While it isn't a perfect fit in width, it is still acceptable when the set screw is tightened down.

I am fairly sure the 82G rail is compatible with Anschutz accessories.

It is. I have a few accessories that were made for the Anschutz rail that I can use on my 82G.

I remember reading somewhere they came with different rails.
There are sites that have dimensions on them.

I don't remember that the 82Gs come with two different rails. I just searched the forum and web and all I can find it they have an Anschutz rail and not the Winchester.

I found another post that said the Kimber requires the HB6 adapter. You actually posted in that thread 6 years ago. I'm sure there are threads about it. I just don't have time to look further

All of the 82G's were made to accept Anschutz accessories.
