Rats !!
I received my new VQ trigger set today and looked forward to reducing the 4.5 lb. pull of my new 22/45 Lite.
I put one in my Slabside so I figured, I got this.
NOT... Ambi safety screw stripped !
I may give it a whack with a pin punch if I have one that small and try a torx head on it. I don't think I want to slot it with the Dremel but that's an option.
Anyone have some words of wisdom to lay on me.
Thanks, gunr

Get a new wrench that fits. Tap it in with a hammer and then try to turn the wrench. That screw has a tendency of stripping. Call Ruger Monday and let them know. They will send you a new screw.

I never fully tighten mine now, just finger tight and it stays there.

When my son purchased his 22/45 lite that screw was so tight that he stripped it trying to get it out. We sent the lower back to Ruger and had them deal with it, which they did.

Success !
I read someone else had the same problem as I did and his solution worked for me too.
A #7 torx bit smacked into the stripped screw head got the screw out and I got the VQ trigger set in. Trigger pull was reduced from 4.5 lbs to 2.5 lbs.
Thanks for the replies,
gunr
