Howa 22/250

I just finished this Howa 22/250 build. The action is from Brownells and the stock is my own creation. The wood is maple, with walnut trim. I have bedded and pillared the receiver. LOP is 13 7/8, with an adjustable comb.

Wow, that's a great looking Lux. Can't wait to take mine outside and get some better pics in natural light! Out of curiosity, what year was yours made?

Wow, I absolutely love shooting this little carbine. Took it out with a box of ammo yesterday, sat down and nailed my steel plate at 100 yards every single time. Why didn't I get a 527 years ago?!

Safe to say this one's a real keeper, it's my first 7.62x39 too and it seems like a great little round.

My current favorite cartridge is the Hornet round. These are the ones that I try and keep busy. On the left is a CZ 527 Varmint in 17 Hornet and a Redfield 6-18X. Next is a CZ 527 Full Stock in 22 Hornet and a Leupold 1-4X, it's for wandering around with. Third from left is a CZ 527 American in 22 Hornet and a Leupold 12X, it's pretty much replaced the Kimber. The fourth from left is a Cooper 38 Classic in 22 Hornet and a Leupold 6.5-20X. The fifth rifle is a Kimber 82 Cascade in 22 Hornet and a Redfield 10X. Second from right is the Savage model 40 in 22 Hornet and a Weaver 15X. And on the right is a Ruger 77/22 Varmint in 22 Hornet and a Leupold 6-18X, some people have had trouble with there Ruger Hornets, this isn't one of them. And down on the bottom a T/C Contender in 22 Hornet and a Leupold 2.5-8X, I've never been a great shot with Contenders or XP-100's but I keep trying any way. Like most rifles they prefer neck sizing, some of them like pistol primers and some do better with different bullets but that just gets to confusing. So they all get feed the same a full length sized case full of Lil'Gun topped with a Hornady 45 grain Hornet bullet and call it good.

Technically a "pistol" until I get the SBR paperwork submitted and a stock attached.

M70 Ranger .270 Win wearing a stock I made, with a Swarovski Z5 3.5-18 in Talley steel rings.

I shot my first whitetail with the rifle years before all the work went into it, and since making the stock it has taken seven more. A few years ago, before I checkered the stock, the biggest buck I've seen while I had a tag in my pocket happened to come past me.

Interarms Mark X .25-06 Rem in a Bondo n' paint stock, with a Vortex Razor HDLH 3-15 in Talley steel rings. The stock was a butcher job when I purchased it, and it pretty much still is, but its en-route to becoming a pattern stock for a nice stick of walnut in the future.
