How many of you guys tinkled on the electric fence when you were a little kid? I did and remember it well. I was maybe 4 or 5.

I believe one of my cousins did teaching a couple of us others without the painful imprinting.

Never experienced that "moment of joy", but did watch with amusement when my brother's horse's whiskers stood up with each pulse through the wire.

I remember watching the old horse blow biscuits after sticking her nose on the new electric fence my Grandfather installed to keep her in the pasture. Glad I was out of the line of fire!

Never pee’d on one but never trust your older brother when undoing the gate.

Few years back wanted to sight in my XP 100 for deer season with a new scope. Was shooting at a target on a closed off section of my horse pasture. Went to check my target and guess I stood up too fast catching the hot fence on the back of neck. I remember what sounded like a calf bellering and woke up with my tongue hanging out with sand burrs stuck to it!
Actually lose consciousness if you get it in the right area of your anatomy😂

Never had the urge. I kicked a porcupine w/o thinking, once, while wearing hip boots.

Never tinkled on one, but did trip backwards over one while wearing shorts. I ended up laying on my back with my legs hanging over the wire making contact with the back of my sweaty knees. Took a couple of pulses until I got unhooked.

Aunt and Uncle used to volunteer to visit our farm during apple harvest, they thought they were helping. Uncle retired from Generous Motors as an engineer of some sorts. His extended family would all drive up from Deetroit to help on the weekends in stay in my aunt and uncles greyhound converted bus hooked up to our power.
Dad woke us up early one Saturday morning after an eighteen hour day of picking and cider pressing late into the evening. Had the whole lot of the extended family outside holding hands and taking turns on the electric fence. Last guy in line gets the shock. They thought that was the most entertaining thing to do on a farm.

Dad got his quadrupled electric bill with the motor home with jacuzzi, and extra electric fence in use and asked them to leave. Cousins twice removed!

No, grabbing the hot wire was enough. I think maintaining a hot wire was more trouble than it was worth. Haven't had one for livestock in years.

I discovered that I could hold on to one(battery powered), standing barefoot in sand. Then my 'buddy' had the idea to pour water on my foot. Wooooooow!

Jerry, try it again. I bet neither of us maintain a good enough "stream" to get shocked today.

Never relieved myself on one, but I did get a reminder of why the cows stay away from them last summer. Ouch! That current will get your attention in a hurry.

The battery ones weren't to bad but the Hotshots or electric current ones would really make your hair stand up. Never peed on one but when we were kids a neighbor kid thought he could grab onto one fed by the power from barn. He screamed and crapped his pants before he got loose of it, I still laugh about that one. I think someone had suggested he do it. Lol
