Well I read some reviews on this site that some found Geco Bolt Rifle as good as CCI SV. I sure hope this to be true for I ordered 2 bricks from SGAmmo, was at a good price. I have also never ordered from them. I hope the ship time is not to far out.Whats your thoughts?

I have shot a lot of this in my CZ 455. It is very good, also I really like the Geco Match 22. I don't shoot CCI, so can't compare it.

I don't shoot CCI SV, but I do shoot a lot of SK ammo. I've found Geco to be a great value. For me it's long range practice ammo in my Vudoo. Shoots well enough compared to high dollar match ammo that I can work wind calls and shooting technique with confidence.

GECO rifle bolt is definitely better than CCI/SV. My guns love it. My targets hate it.

Bought a case, probably two years ago. Guess I lost the GECO lottery - stuff's better than Blazer at 50 yds, but nowhere near as accurate as SV in our 64 sporters.

Going to run out the case in pistols/revolvers.

I bought a brick of Geco Bolt Rifle to try in my target pistols. Found it to be better than CCI-SV. Never tried it in a rifle. Want to try Geco Match next, but the only place I have found it wants $102.50 for a brick. Price gouging should be a crime. But, it will sell during a panic, so they'll do it. I can wait. Just got two cases of SK Pistol Match, so I'm set for quite a while.

I don't know how much it is now but not too long ago you could buy it for around $25.00 per brick...about the same price as CCI Stnd Velo at that same time . It looks as though all ammo has increased in price since then . I've gone through a few thousand rounds of it and found it to quite good for the price ...reliable,clean burning & good accuracy within it's price range .Better than the CCI product in any of the firearms I used it in at least . It's only drawback was the oily, greasy lube that's used on it . It tends to get all over the place and I always kept a towel handy to wipe my hands & firearms during use. Haven't used any for a while for that reason .

I shoot a lot of Geco bolt rifle and some of the semi-auto. It shoots very well in my CZ 452's and both my Remington 540X and 540XR rifles. I buy it by the case and go through my rifles to try the lot number and see which rifles like that number and put a sticker on my scope cap or on the butt plate what number that rifle prefers and that is the ones I use it in. The 540's will shoot a wide range of ammo and shoot Geco and RWS in tiny groups at 50 yds. The semi auto does well at a 100 yds in rifles that like it. One a good still day I shot groups under a inch to just a little over in my CZ 452 Trainer and my scoped 513T Rem. That was a wind free day that we get few of. Up to month or so back Geco bolt rifle was $205/case at Target Sports when in stock. I took advantage of their pricing as much as I could afford and now glad I did. If it shows up again I hope I have money for more. My wife likes to shoot it up in her CZ Grand Finale. I have cases of about 6 different lot numbers that will all shoot in some thing I have here. No misfires or any of the horror stories like the American rim fire garbage turned out now. CCI standard for one has really hit rock bottom with the new stuff. Glad I still have some of the older CCI. CCI standard won't fit the chamber on either 540's with out very hard chambering. I keep that stuff away from the Rems. It won't shoot as well as Geco or RWS in but a very few guns I own. Like to buy American but they will need to make better ammo for me to buy it.

Norma shoots very similar to Geco and RWS, they are all made by the same company.

True.

Curiously...
Old packages of 22lr that say made by Dynamit Noble, Nuremberg Germany are made at the exact same production facility run by "RUAG", that today makes Norma, GECO and RWS although the RUAG packages say "Furth Germany" and not Nuremberg. The Nuremberg portion of the city was re-named Furth after its bordering, sister city's name.

This case says Dynamit Noble and the boxes inside say made in Furth.

What I'm referring to is older production days where a box of 50 will say Dynamit Nobel and also made in Nuremberg Germany.

And I also have some recent production cases of (in my instance) RWS 22's where mine also say DYNAMIT NOBEL as your cases do. I wouldn't think that RUAG (the current company) has that many pre-printed case's but rather are printing those currently.

It is interesting that they are printing the previous companies name on their cases?

Why, I'm not sure?

Perhaps in honor of Dynamite and Mr Nobel?

5. MERGING NUREMBERG AND FÜRTH
The construction of the Bavarian Ludwig Railway introduced the idea of merging Nuremberg and Fürth into a single municipality. After several failed political initiatives in the nineteenth century, a referendum was held in 1922. It failed with a vote of 64.8% against. Later efforts by Nuremberg’s National Socialist mayor Willy Liebel to push through a merger without a vote did not succeed. After the war, several new attempts were initiated but failed as well, mostly on account of the strong reservations each town held about its neighbor. On October 3, 1990, the Green Party organized an ironic event at the boundary of Nuremberg and Fürth. Under the banner of “Now what has always been side by side will grow together” the party celebrated the towns’ “unification,” renaming Nuremberg as East Fürth.

I wonder if maybe the HQ was in Nuremberg at one time, then moved to Furth following one of the various mergers/buy outs.

The cartridges used to be "Made In Nurenberg".The cartridges are now "Made In Furth".

Dynamit Nobel...was the "old" production facility. The current production still has Dynamt Nobel printed on the cases.
