Does anyone know what happened to 10-22fungun? Scott Werx? Is he out of Business? Wanted to order a kit, and the site is gone.

10/22 Thompson kit

I looked around and came up empty also. The company was in California so it may have fallen afoul of local regulations and gone under. Too bad, they sold a nice kit with good options! I bought one of the "Squad" version kits about a year ago. They are easy to install and great fun to shoot! If you look around you might find a used kit or converted gun. Good luck!

Hello.
This is Scott from Scott Werx.

I thought I would update everyone on what has happened as regards kit production.
My long time metal supplier (who was certainly giving me "good guy" pricing which I passed along) had to retire early and unexpectedly due to medical reasons.
I had the kits quoted for production by a number of new vendors, unfortunately the price went up over $100 per kit, which would have pushed the retail kit price to over $400.
At this higher price there would still be some sales but not enough volume to cover overhead and the costs of new tooling, CNC programs, etcetera.
So for now the kits have been discontinued.

I want to thank all my customers for giving me a try.
It has truly been a pleasure dealing with so many great people.
The kits were a labor of love, made by a shooter for fellow shooters.
I made the fist kit for myself with no intentions of making more.
But when people saw them, they like them and started throwing money at me, so a business was born.
The many positive comments on the kits have made all the work that went into them worthwhile.

For now, kit production has ended.
I will be watching the industry and if the opportunity presents itself, the kits may go back into production.

I do have limited number of spare parts available so if you need something you can email me scottwerx @ yahoo .com but no more kits for now.

Thank you all again.
- Scott

Thanx for bringing us up to date
Too bad that circumstances backfired on you, a not uncommon story in the odd-ball gun/gun parts cottage industry.
Kudos to you for even giving it a go, a lot of good ideas never get past the conversation stage.
