Because it makes people sad and then they cry.

And I thought Pennsylvania farms had a lot of woodchucks. Silly me. Still, it would be real nice to get paid for shooting chucks, squirrel, rabbits, and dove.

When you reach retirement age and draw a pension and Social Security you will be getting paid to do whatever you want. In Oct and Nov I am a paid deer hunter. Right now I am a paid fisherman, well at least that's what I tell myself. Until then enjoy your youth and the things you love and be safe!

Sure, but with all my sports injuries I feel like I should be retired. The gobs of turmeric just don't seem to cut it. Seriously though, I know I have been blessed.

Enjoy your paid hunting time, Prof! Pennsy has some of the best in the World.

Not as blessed as you think!!! How/why would anyone retire from this job? And if so what do you do in retirement?...

Nice air rifle and bounty you have there! Air Arms make great rifles and the TX2000 is probably their best selling springer. I have the Pro Sport in .177 w/walnut stock. It's a tad on the heavy side, but it sure doesn't lack in the accuracy department! And even being a .177, it will still put the smack-down on whistle pigs at 50-65 yards.

I know those critters hate to see you coming. I've done lots of home pest control, squirrels, gophers and starlings, and all the rabbits I've taken were with a Sheridan.

I am actually making a dent in the population. I only shot 229 this year. But to be honest I back off on the number of farms I am covering. I never made it to the "hive" this year. Its a 1/4 mile long rock pile that is infested. It is in a pasture so the chucks are not causing a lot of financial loss. I left them be because I have shot out a lot of my spots.
This is a old look at the "hive"

Look into the .25 and .30 cal.
pcp rifles.
Once tuned, they shoot groups consistently.
You might need a bulk air bottle and a compressor/fill source.
