Opinions on Plinkster 702 25rd mags, please.

Hey,

I ordered a Mossberg factory made 25rd mag for my Plinkster. I'll have it sometime next week.

I've read a few dated reviews on them here. These were "mixed" at best, and, as I said, they're old reviews.

And, as we all know, manufacturers oftentimes change designs and manufacturing methods.

So I guess I'm looking for some new reviews on the mag OR if you've owned one for a while, how the mag has stood up to the test of time.

Thanks.

Judging from the lack of response, I guess they are illegal.

Yep. Lived there a year (1974) when Moonbeam was Governor the first time. I have found that to be sufficient.

Mostly older Mossbergs spoken here. I guess you'll have to see how the mags work for you, then report back here!

Most High capacity mags begin to stack up. The spring pressure begins to increase. So most do not load a full magazine. Some even con=me with a loading device to compress the spring. I would opt for 2 or 3 10 rounders, Thtats just my $0.02.

I recently bought one for my Rossi 22RS (which uses the same mags and are identical except for the stock. Made in the same factory). I've run 4 or 5 mags through it and it works great. It was a little hard to get it full the first time but the mag comes with a loader included. (I come here because I have a Blaze 47)

I also bought one for my Rossi. I have only shot two loads out of it and it functioned properly. One of the reviews on here suggested disassembling it and sanding the moving surfaces inside. I detail the rest of the gun, so I will probably do that at some point.

Anyone having issues with this mag if your using it for the RS22.....this mod works. After all has been converted all is needed is a long reach Allen wrench to help pull the follower down. The Rossi mag body also helps to be able to load up to the max (20-23) without any trouble at all.

I had one and found it difficult to load to capacity. It took a lot of patience. One of the rounds slipped in vertically and I had to take magazine apart in order to fix. I would be a lot quicker and easier to load up 3 separate 10 round magazines than the 25 rounder.
