If it was a 54 action there would probably be a lot of interest. For a 64 action it's not an attention getting price. Looking at the prices of this model elsewhere, the price may well be too high. The scope doesn't really add much.

If it was a 54 action, it would be a gift..

For an example with wood that nice, I don't see much wrong with the price.(.... need I say that we're emerging from winter with tax season just ahead?)

Selling guns can simply be harder than many of us imagine( a fact that I've confirmed with many top examples, that I've sold in my downsizing)

You may want to keep the gun intact as it is, but it's always a better move to sell the rifle and scope separately. To move it along, the gun needs to be priced closer to 800,or 800, and pull whatever you can from the scope and rings elsewhere.

As Camster already stated, this isn't the time of the year to sell easily. It will get better end of April.

Thx, I may drop it $750 without the scope. I have another rifle that is needing a scope.

Is that a Japan made scope? The Japan made Trophy models are a sleeper. Crystal clear with nice smooth adjustments. AO under 25 yards for rimfire. Only drawback is the duplex crosshair is a little course for target work.

A friend of mine tried to sell me one last year for the "low" price of eleven hundred dollars (about five times what it cost new back then). I bought a brand new 1416 HB for under a thousand. You'll never get your money out of a scope by leaving it on the gun. Sell the accessories as separate items....you'll do better. Guns might go up in price, but there's a limit and usually a reason.

This. In my experience you hardly ever get any value out of a scope when you sell it attached to a rifle.

There are only two reasons an item wont sell, doesn't matter if it's a gun, a motorcycle, a horse or a house, it's either underadvertised or overpriced.

Luck and timing can factor in: Sometimes, no one is looking for that particular item at the time. The only buyer that might present, will be someone looking for a gift or bargain that can't be refused.

RFC might be a good marketplace, but it's not a big marketplace.
Exposure on a major selling site is often required. If you need to squeeze a deal hard or can't absorb the fees, that's your problem.
However, I've had items languish here and on SW forum.I then put them on ebay or a major site at the same or even a higher price, and they sell quickly.

Gun is gone. Turns out it went home to the GENTLEMAN I originally bought it from.

Thanks Forum
