Gobbler i would hate to admit how many times I've hit the windows of pop up blinds with my bow. The old zip up windows would really deflect an arrow lol.
Got my "sammich" deer Sat. morning, on Indiana's opening day of firearm season. Walked by right at daylight. Shot was about 45 yds. One shot and he was down on the spot. Crap rack, but at 171 lbs field dressed, there will be a lot of burger for me and the missus. The rifle is a single shot CVA .44 mag. The ammo is lever evolution 225 gr.
My 14yr old daughter had 300blk scope on a 6pt buck y'day evening. He came in trailing a doe.
Each time he stopped walking, a tree would be in the way for her to shoot. She did good following him in scope. I bleated couple times & he would stop but he'd still be behind tree for her.
After she got rifle back in the hut is when she started shaking with the "buck fever". Never shook while on the gun...she said "I never looked at his antlers!". Told her that was good thing as she'd been shaking on the gun!
She then said that we're gonna sit in hut ALL DAY tomorrow! Lol
We sat 12hrs today...no buck appeared, but we did see 4 does today...
