CZ 452 Varmint action screw question?

Log in to see fewer ads
I have an older "04" 452 Varmint in 17 M2 Does anyone know why this rifle would only have one action screw? All the replacement stocks I have seen are all drilled for a second action screw. Was this just the way the earlier models were made or is it peculiar to the 17 M2 chambering. Thanks in advance for any insight or explanation.

I'm pretty sure the M2 Varmint was a special case.

I believe it's the only magnum caliber that uses only one action screw.
