TO GUY; FREEFLOAT THAT BBL!!!! freefloat it fast and hard, do the modification
for the trigger, located in the savage thread, and you will cut the pull weight in at least half. Also, before you say it is as accurate as it is going to get, put about 300 rounds down it, clean it good, and then give it another whirl.
Watch the magic!!!! also, make sure you try all the m2 ammo, remmy, eley, and cci and horny and feddy if you can find it. though the last 3 may be more accurate for you, usually 1 of the first 2 will fill the bill.

It went away

Having free floated the barrel, and modded the trigger per the sticky I gave away the Savage in a mutli-gun trade for a CZ model 527 Lux in 22 Hornet. New owner likes it and I have a handload for the Hornet that solves his accuracy issues! Some times it works out! PMullineaux: Thanks for the advice. The answer to my non existent niche has found a home and I have a classy Euro look rifle that I like. Guy
