I have 2 bolt actions now, a Savage and a Marlin. I bought them both when mach2 ammo was a lot harder to find than it is now. I think its a positive sign that both Hornady and CCI ammo is available now.
I really want a semi auto 17mach2 rifle. I have a Savage A17 and it's an awesome shooting accurate gun. Check out my post in the Savage forum, "A New Savage A17 in Mach??"

Wink

All I have in M2 is a lil H&R Handi rifle, but I would not sell it for the world and absolutely would buy a new rifle should I find one when I have funds.

Like most, mine is and has always be marvelously accurate.

I was ahead of the curve on this one and "saw" the shortage as I saw it with the 5MM. I would buy 2-4 boxes EVERY trip to the gun shop. JUST BECAUSE! SO glad I did! I have enough to enjoy this cartridge for a long time. (Probably a case's worth)

I'd buy another mm well, actually just did. Just brought home an unfired 2004 model NEF Sporter 17hm2. Already have a laminate cinnamon stock set ready for it once shortened a hair. And the trigger is awesome. This is my 3rd 17hm2 and the Charger will be done next moth maybe. Then I'm done..........

Another CZ American in okay shape stock wise but mechanically as NIB (unfired) at at a bargain price, it's one I'd sold to my Hunting Partner and his estate was essentially giving it away so I got it back.

Sorry for your loss... not the most desirable way top acquire a firearm. But at least it stayed in the "family".

Browning would be guaranteed my $$ with an SA-Hm2. Plus a second one in maple, if it had some grain to it.

Would be nice if CZ offered a 455 replacement barrel in 17 hm2. Then you could just "roll your own". If ammo dries up from time to time, switch back the barrel.

Would you buy a 17m2 today

I would like a Marlin 917 in .17hm2 to complement my Marlin 917 in .17hmr.
Iím not actively looking.

If cz offered a 455 in Mach 2 Iíd snatch one up instantly but Iím not going to buy a .22 and 17hm2 barrel just to get one.

Iíd get a hm2 for my 77/22 first since I donít shoot it at all in its current form.

I emailed them some months ago and was told they are not going to offer one. IMHO if enough emails showing interest in the 17hm2, they might reconsider.
