I second the motion of that being a sweet piece of wood.

Hawkeye (Ken); So nice to have you back again. And that is a very pretty stock you have on that Varmint. Did Lee get you that stock? Anyway, you are going to enjoy shooting the Green Monster with this bunch of folks.

Thanks guys.

Getting the replacement stock was just dumb luck on my part.

I hope Lee doesn't mind .
Through conversation Lee invited me to the matches. I told him I used to shoot them and why I stopped, and if I ever came across a used Varmint stock I may switch out to shoot the games. He said " it just so happens I have such an animal ". He had tried it on his Tacticool and didn't like the feel of it.

So thanks to Lee being a very good gentleman to deal with I'll be posting a few GM's again.

Again, glad to have you on board again. Isn't it strange how things just work out sometimes?

I had a decent run today, but can’t find my scoring plug. 😡 I always spend too much time shooting the sighters, but rush through the target. Today I shot a black fly (upper right edge of target) and decided I was ready.

That's going to be a good one. Report back after you find your plug.

Another great X count. And a lousy 9 count.

I reckon I should have waited till after I shot to say anything. At least I got mine out of the way early.

I know the feeling. I’m not competing against these guys and it’s a good thing I’m not. I’m competing against myself.

It's all in fun guys. Never be reluctant to post a target. When I first started, that was a means of getting help from the likes of Squirrelbark. Now he torments me every month, even taunting me at times. But were it not for him and his advise I would be nowhere near shooting the targets I am now. Stick with it and don't be afraid to try something new. It may work for you.

Example...... I never thought I would be able to shoot without a tight shoulder contact and a solid cheek weld. Then, after I was told what to do, it became obvious that you don't have to hold a .22 like you do a 300 Win. Mag. My shooting now means I firmly grip the stock without squeezing it to death and barely touch it anywhere else except the trigger. It took me months to get really comfortable with that and I am still modifying what I do and I can certainly tell a difference in my scores.

And it took only going back to June to see that someone in the past 3 posts was only beaten that month by a 250. Wonder who that was? LOL. Post'um up guys.

I think their just playing with us like a cat with a mouse. They should just shoot their 250

I tried another one today. At least I gained 2 points instead of going backwards.
