CCI may manufacture it, but the company on the label is the one that did the load workup.

The company on the label just buys it from CCI and resells it under their label. I highly doubt they have any input on load design other than maybe requesting what grain bullet they want.

Both, they're not going to stop a line and adjust anything on these.

But have you tried the 50gr Federals? My CZ455 shoots great groups with the 30gr
Vmax's. I have a bunch of different flavored 40gr rounds that it just won't shoot,
making them 25yd hunting loads at best. Then I tried a box of the 50gr Federals
and found that the 455 shot them just about as accurately as the Vmax's. Went
right back to the LGS to get more of the same lot number. I'm not even going to
attempt to make sense out of the 20gr difference being close to equal accuracy, and
just enjoy the fact that they are.

I have used the 50gr Federal since I discovered them in the late 90's . They have always been very accurate in my guns . Best round available for coyotes of course at reasonable ranges.

RAR Predator

Regarding CCI producing 22 mag ammo I have been using some Fiocchi 40 soft tip ammo that is clearly a CCI product that shoots very well.

I had my RAR out last Tuesday at 50 yards and it seems to be settling down. Not great but better. Hornady 30 grain Vmax is still the best but 40 grain CCI was holding about an inch. 40 grain Rem was about 1.5" which is better than the 3"+ before I sent it back. I wont be buying anymore of them. 50 grain Fed did pretty well except for one flyer I had 8 of 9 rounds inside an inch. Group was about 2" lower than the 40 grain. I have had quite a few failure to fire from the Hornady 30 grain even with a good dent in the rim. My H&R single shot will duplicate those results at 100 yards so I am not that thrilled with the RAR.

I had my H&R 22 wmr single shot out today at 50 yards trying different ammo. 5 shots each. I sighted in with CCI MaxiMag HP and It was holding inside an inch. 30 grain Hornady Vmax was 1.5" higher and nice 1/2" group. Federal 50 grain was 2" low and 1.5" group. The CCI 40 grain Target was also 1/2" to the same POI as the 40 grain HP. This gun really likes 40 grain Winchester but I only have about 70 rounds left so I did not shoot any today. Forgot to throw the Remington in the bag.

Yesterday I replaced the 4x32 scope with a 3-9x40 Viridian Eon. The 9x might help me with groups. I put a 4-14x44 Simmons Aetec SFon my RAR. I have not had a missfire with the Hornady 30 grain in my H&R so it may well be the RAR.
