Shot this at the range today. It’s been a while since I’ve taken it out. As always it was a fun time. Thought since it’s been over 4 years since I posted anything on it that maybe some newbies might be interested in it. Barrel is a 5 1/2” Target shortened to 3”. Bolt has been lightened to cycle standard ammo.

Very simular to what Volquartsen use to do for their 22 short conversion bolts just not as drastic. Used a carbide end mill on a Bridgeport.

I'm so jealous right now...

We cant have these in the UK anymore,

I like super stubby short pistols and rifles and a rim fire even more so.

Volquartsen-barreled three-inch Classic on a Mark III Target upper. Runs everything from subsonic to HV with a stock Mark IV bolt.

Dont want to burst your bubble but thats a Volquartsen 3 1/2 Compact. I was looking at those but instead spent $100.00 on a used barrel and made a 3.0 instead. In such short barrels 1/2 makes a big difference in the amount of powder being burnt in the barrel. I just sold my 3 1/2 shortened PacLite barrel to a friend and it also runs just like yours with a stock bolt. But then again it is 3 1/2 and not 3.0.
