Threaded barrel question

Hi guys, I'm new to the forums. I wanted your advice, I have a 10/22 "talo" I'm trying to upgrade, the barrel from the factory is not threaded and I need the ability to use my silencerco suppressor. My local gunsmith charges $180 for barrel threading which I believe is too much, I imagine I can buy a new barrel for that price. However, Kidd tells me all their threaded barrels require a .920" channel stock, which I don't believe my stock has.

So, what would you guys recommend I do? My budget is about $200. I'd like a ~16" stainless if possible. I just don't know what manufacturers out there would fit my needs. Thanks!

Federson offers a quality heavy tapered threaded barrel.

I personally don't know of its accuracy from barrel to barrel but have heard mostly good things about them.

Which model 10/22 Talo do you have? Some stocks can be opened up to take a .920 barrel.

$180. to thread your barrel sound way too much to me.

Round here in ND it runs $125. Cap extra. I have a buddy that does mine for $50 but I've been waiting for 2 months for him to have time.

For an aftermarket barrel see if you can find a threaded running boar. All the benifits of a bull but less weight and fit factory stock.
