Walther P22 (Walther Germany test ammo)

I understand that the Walther P22 was designed and tested using RWS Semi Auto 22 lr ammunition. Walther USA advised me that they use CCI Mini Mag or Remington “Golden” bullets to test factory repairs.

It would make sense that Walther Germany would design and test using German domestic ammo as RWS. Does anyone know for certainty what Walther Germany uses when testing their P22’s (Walther USA advised me that they do not know)?

I’m also considering purchasing SK Pistol Match 22 lr to see if this too would function reliably in my Walther P22.

I have run Blazer, AutoMatch and Minimags in mine, all with good results. I would not waste target quality ammo on this plinker pistol.

15 years ago I ran Rem Golden in mine with good results. Their quality slipped a lot and I haven't been back since. I have good results with MiniMags now. Full disclosure, mine is about 20 years old and I've done several mods from the P22 Bible.

I've had mine for 15 or so years and other than cleaning it occasionally it remains as I bought it. It has never hiccuped.

Sometime I hear something and I think, "How do I get that job?"

There is a guy, I think in New Orleans, whose job is to hang out in a park every night with a suppressed .22 and shoot nutria.
