There is definitely a gulf between ignorant and stupid.

You have to remember how many 30, 40 and even 50 year olds are still dependent on their parents.............

Ever notice how many offspring these days are not doing as well as their parents? Or grandparents?

And you want to know what's really disturbing about a huge percentage of those "stupid" ones?........They actually have high school diplomas and college degrees.

Almost makes a guy feel embarrassed to be a fellow human.

I tend to overlook stupidity as an irritant because;

1. It's so wide spread.

2. It may in fact be a side effect caused by unavoidable circumstances; breech birth, industrial logging accident as a small child, benzene rich diet, etc...

I try calling and his cell phone doesn't have voice mail set up.
So... what's the problem?

Delivery guys show up when they said they would. Customer doesn't answer the door. Delivery guys leave the customer's purchase on the door step and drive away.

That's the way UPS and Fed-X do it.

90% of people make the other 10% look bad.

When one guy tried to shove his college education in my face I told him that he was a prime example of the term, 'Educated well beyond your intelligence'.

I have never been impressed with a college degree. It does not bestow common sense which I think is much more important.

I grew up in a small college town. We had 6 college professors living in our neighborhood five of which were dumber than rocks.

I sold auto, truck and industrial parts for 35 years. Some customers are just fine, the ones that always scared me were the ones doing brakes the first time. The question invariably was "do you think this is something I can do?" I always tried to tell them to ask a friend with some experience. Later when u-tube became available there was usually something on there to help them. The scary part is that I drive on the same roads. Then there is the expert telling me that I sold him the wrong part. The part usually looks like the information given. I miss some customers, glad I am retired when I think of some of the others.
