Another Range Trip

Got to the range again early this morning and I think I have the Leupold scope tuned into the old Marlin Model 80DL. The last group I shot measured about 3/8" at 25 yards. I used a cheap set of shooting bags for the first time today, and I can see a learning curve is involved with them.

The next time I get to the range, I want to shoot at 50 yards and see what happens.

Have a blessed day,

Leon

Garddogg,
What exactly is the rifle on bottom? I have one very similar. Ranger 35.
I think it is a Marlin. Butt plate is hand engraved with a name and date of Feb 23 1935.

Mals, first, I apologize for not getting back to you sooner. Sometimes my memory doesn't work and I forget where I post what.

I use Federal Auto Match in the Marlin, they work better than anything else I have tried. I was back at the range yesterday, (4/20/2021), and shot pretty well. I didn't shake as much as I usually do, and I had put more plastic pellets in the homemade shooting bags and they were much more stable.

Again, I apologize for the very late response.

Have a blessed day,

Leon
