shot my new to me Brno model 4 for the second time yesterday, I could cover a 9 shot group at 50 yards with a penny, I shot from a rest using Eley Match. Not bad for a 63 year old rifle. I will post pics as soon as I figure out how LOL

Click Reply, click on the paper clip icon @ the top, and following the prompt selection to my puter Photo album works for me on my laptop.

glasstewart3, looking forward to photos. I'll bet you're going to like that Model 4 more an more as you continue to shoot it. Mine is my favorite rimfire if I'm in a setting with a decent rest to shoot from. That group that you mentioned covering with a penny would be a half-inch center-to-center, maximum. If you find ammo the gun likes, and are shooting from a good setup, I'd expect the gun to be capable of quarter inch center-to-center groups at 50 yards. But in the real world, shooting < .50" at 50 yards is very good, IMO, and especially with a gun you're just getting used to, haven't fine-tuned, etc.

Brno is an unknown name to many, but to those us in the know, Brno was one of the best manufactures of firearms in days of old, their craftsmanship’s, finish and accuracy was second to none.

My own opinion for what its worth is if Brno wasn’t closed down and continued then CZ would not exist today, at least not as it is. Don’t get me wrong, CZ’s are great rifles in their own right but they owe many of their modern traits to their forerunner, Brno.

I have a 63 year young Brno M5 (aka ZKM 573) that shoots under half inch at 50 yrs with most any good quality ammo, super accurate for vermin control. On the Bench with bags she can shoot under quarter inch all day with Eley and RWS ammo, happy days.

Brno M4’s (Most all Brno’s) are superb accurate rifles, batch test ammo, find the best and second best ammo it shoots/likes, buy a good stock of same and enjoy.

Good looking rifle. Nice group. What scope did you mount? Picked up my 2nd Model 4 from a member here on trading post. Haven't had a chance to hit the range yet.

That is the problem with BRNO rifles.

Once you own one, you want to buy more.

Of course, with all the enablers on this site you will certainly have a lot of encouragement.

That's a nice group.
Given the penny at .72", that group scales out to be about .475", and an even more excellent .30" without that one pesky flyer.
Now get to shopping for your next BRNO.
