I tried a 15 round magazine in my 17hm2 summit. Works in my 10/22, but not in my hm2. Nose of the rounds point down and wonít go up the ramp. Any suggestions would be appreciated

I cannot tell you in what you have..But I converted a 1911 Ace Colt .22 conversion barrel to 17 HM2 to swap in between that round and my regular .22 barrel..It runs fantastic with GSG 22 magazines..But the original Colt 22 magazines do exactly what you are describing..I can only put three or four in the Colt mags, or they nose dive...

Will watch your thread...It has to have something to do with the difference in the followers from the GSG to the Colts..Like I say it runs beautiful with the GSGs though..I just chalked it up to the simply the design of the necked bullet and the colt mags not working in mine with the 17 HM2 magazines in my 1911..The Colts run great with the regular .22 rounds..

I know my Marlin 717 only has a 4 rounder I think..And I believe Marlin tried a 7 round and went to the 4 or 5 as per their experience of more capacity causing feed problems....

Only ones that seem to always work are the 10 round factory mags and the big 50 round teardrops. Short pointy little devils always seems to nose dive, not eveyetime but enough it's irritating.

I use the TandomKross Double Kross for my Summit. Best way I know to carry 20rnds for a 10/22mag gun in 17hm2.

Thanks for the input guys. Went squirrel shooting out west a few weeks ago. This little gun shoots like a lazer out to about 100 yards. Thought the only way it could be any better would be less downtime loading mags. Think Iíll look into that Tandemkross Double Kross. Looks like not much hanging down to get caught on. . Thanks

Another option is the magazine coupler made by HTA.

I have a half dozen of them and they are excellently made and don't require any dis-assembly or mods to the 10 round mags.

Can I suggest you get a good zippered fanny pack and about 6 or 7 mags? If you have a lot of hot shooting, why do you want to stop after 20 and reload and why would you want something sticking down to snag on? Do tactical reloads when you get a lull in the action after 5 or 6 shots and then top off your mags periodically.
