Was thinking Open sighted single shot
First off I was thinking Winchester 1885 .
Either 22lr or 22WMR .
Found a magnum hunter , but the 22lr are hard to find .
Kinda expensive. But sharp looking rifles .
The more I thought about it , the more my thoughts switched to CZís .
After all, itís hard to beat the open sights on a CZ .
And sometimes you can win the wood lottery with a CZ for less than half what the Winchester costs .
I think Iíll stick with my 452 and 455 Trainers and my 457 Lux .

I've had my fingers crossed that I would find a really nice 457 Lux (in any caliber but preferably 22lr).

Now I at least know that they're out there...!

Thanks for the pics. Now we need pics of your groups....

I bought a couple of 455 Lux sight unseen looking for a nice stock and ordered a couple replacement stocks hoping for a nice one . Never happened.
You couldnít wipe the grin off my face when I picked up my 457 Lux .

This is The only picture of groups shot with the 457 Lux .
This was my entry in the 25 yard CZ open sighted match .
Iíve never had a scope on it . Iím sure itíd do better .
I own several Trainer with the 24.8Ē barrels and theyíre all great shooters .

Oh, you just wait till you scope it Kirby...
My sample size of one 457 shoots like this, still figuring it out too (but I like posting good groups... :-)

According to Ballistic-X its .140". @50.
And I think its the most representative group I've shot so far. Its really the only one shot cleanly between wind swells the second time out with it. Lapua Midas-L though, not junk...

Found out last night , my new magnum Lux won’t arrive until next Thursday.
Probably pick it up Saturday.
Driving me nuts waiting .
What do I do while waiting ?
Yesterday , I swapped out the barrel on a 455 Lux from 22lr to a 22wmr barrel with iron sights .
And today , I swapped out a barrel on my 455 Trainer 22lr to a 20” American 22wmr barrel and added a 2-7X scope .
Grown up Legos .
Just need some range time .

Listen to Carley Simon. She must've been a CZ fan, too.
