Competition season with my 40X is over so now back to fun shooting with my Savage Mark II. I have looked over some of your targets and am amazed with such good shooting by so many. Hard to believe how this fun stuff has taken off thanks to COW54 (Stan). The number of people shooting has really grown since he started this. I do miss the 100 yard competition of a year or two ago though. I bought this Fiocchi Exacta Winter ammo thinking I could use it in ARA competition, but it did not like my Rem 40X or maybe I had a bad lot or possibly I did not do it justice. Worked well though at 25 yards in my Savage. Shot 5 targets and all were 120, but this had the most bonus points.

Alias: Grey Knife Actual Name: Ralph
Score With Bonus 120+25 Class II Scope
Scope 6X24 set at 12X
Savage Mark II BTV Ammo: Fiocchi Exacta Winter 22LR
Weather conditions 9-18-20 50 degrees 5-7 mph SW
Excuses: Getting old-- 83 in 3 months

Nice to see you back here Ralph. Great score on a tough target in my eyes. This year is the first time for me to shot targets for score other a couple I tried last year before the 25 yd 10 bull beach match petter’d out. Has been therapeutic for me and enjoy everyone here. Can’t say enough for the help and skills I see here.

Good shooting Kevin, Merle, Oystein, and Ralph.

Oystein, with the fancy new good looking stock and the chainsaw ammo you will definitely know if someone walks off with your stuff.

Great start on the GM's Lee

Going to pull the red dot of my GP-100 tomorrow, and put on a scope I've had for a few years collecting dust. Take another whack at some scoped targets. Still have ammo, targets, and 10 days left of the month, and as they say " You got make hay while the sun's shining"

Thanks Ken but hold on, I scored them incorrectly. Spent the last two days earning my rifleman patch at Appleseed. HoRa hora. My son also earned his. I’ll fix my score tomorrow and we’ll see what it looks like then. Lee

Here is my wind rifle.

Brought my Rem. 700 BDL Varmint rifle to the range , cal. .223 or 5.56 NATO she likes em both.

Shot about 50 rounds @ 100 yards and had a 15-20 mph wind.
Last 4 shots of the day.

Was a fun time I bough this rifle in 1983 brand new and is a DuPont made Rem.
haven't shot the rifle in about 5 years.
The ammo was handloaded by me in 2004.
Rifle is completely stock has a 2.75 lb trigger pull.
Scope is a Unertl Vulture 10X43MM AO and is still bright and clear for being 50+ years old.
That is why I will never buy an HMR 17 or HM2 what for....

Great score Bret for the conditions. I’ve said it a few times this month, that C2 is a challenging target. Nice Remington and it sings a pretty tune. I agree with your comment about the HMR but who knows. We pondered a lot over the 10mm and 40 pistol rounds but there still around and have gained some popularity. I had an early S&W semi auto 5” in 10mm. That was brutal on the wrist.
