Sigh ! For the past several years I have studiously avoided getting another new type of girl friend, being content with the same old "lift - pull - push - shove - squeeze" action I've been used to for the past 66 years. Lately, as antiquity takes its' toll, I have been taking more note of the modern fillies where one just "feeds and squeezes" . . . Ahhh !
Result ... did some online searching on all the known dating sites ... had a final chat with another aging friend who has had Magical results with the new style ... and made up my mind.
So ... yesterday morning early, after packing SWMBO into the TrailBlazer, I headed North by East to the land of "heavy-chested li'l ol' ladies wearing wigs". Some 5-6 hours later we returned, with my office manager now reconciled - well almost - to the fact that she was going to have to share me with yet another new love.
Yep .... one of the new gals now has a new home ... ! So far all I've done is feed her, wash her down, and given her a few squeezes ... 120 of them to be exact. She's very precise in her manners ... when doing her appointed tasks, she can place little things on paper well within the specified zone. Mind you, she's got a few rough edges, but they should smooth out with time and patience. Quite a bit overweight too, which doesn't help when it come to squeezing her.
Soooo ... I guess the next thing to do is take a longer look look into her inner soul ... I've been reading up on some of the teachings of others more experienced - such as robmints, Sheriff60 and Magical - time will tell if I've managed to absorb any of it ! Maybe even find a new road to her heart ?
Fuzzy
PS: Did someone ask ... what's the new gals' name ? Apparently she doesn't have one ... must have come from some East European slave labour camp, as all she has is the number - "512" - tattooed on her wrist.
After all you do live in TN when Ms Parton has made her home many years and is also a little (little?) top heavy.
I just hope you new "friend" can consistently hit those high notes like Ms. Parton does. If she needs some help (don't they all?) I am quite sure you can help her "sing" with all you experience. Be gentle with her she is young but then you have never seemed to be the heavy handed type.
I hope this is the beginning of a long and beautiful friendship. By the way your new friend also qualifies as a SuperStock so do not be bashful about showing her and any mods you make off in the SuperStock. Also if you want to really show her off she is likely to do very well in some of our games. After all you do want to show off you new beauty right? :bthumb:
Tch ... tch ... tch ! Such sacrilegious thoughts ... but then I suppose it is to be expected from one who has "Not yet seen the Light" ... and moved to the Free World - lol !
... and for the "others" ... Yes ! This morning I undressed her in a limited fashion ... but didn't get into any real intimate stuff. Checked over what I could readily see ... gave her a light rubbing down with 2000-grit paper in a few spots where it looked to be the sites of possible friction. Examined the bits that are likely to be the ones that need a little loving care if she's going to reach that climactic moment ... and go BANG !
Before putting her clothes back on, I did have a go at her with a few drops of Liquid Graphite as the lube. Then went out to the woods and checked out whether she could perform with her glasses off ... and she did ... everything in the hole even when standing 50 yards away.
I think she has potential but right now she's a bit shy ... NO pics until I've had her worked over a bit ... maybe a nip and tuck on her butt so that I can get my fat li'l face a bit closer ... maybe a roll-over on top for my cheeks !
Fuzzy
PS: Just that light rub-down and the graphite lube "got her weight down" from almost 6# to 4# 12oz !

Lol ! The basic route I know fairly well, having cut my teeth on the Marlin 60 in its' infant years ... and aided in the development of the Remington 597 and T/C Classic - ("only the end points have been changed to protect the innocent" ... paraphrasing Dragnet !).
Right now, what I think I need before digging too deeply into the hardware, is a scale see-though diagram of the total trigger group and its' housing. Then, as a first decision comes that of deciding whether to maintain the trigger group as a more efficient Two-stage type ... or as most US shooters seem to prefer ... turn it into a Single-stage unit with zero pre-travel ... the problem of "actual creep" as opposed to first-stage pre-travel would probably be the same in either case. Decisions, decisions, decisions !
Both Robmints and Magical have proposed alternative means of controlling pre-travel ... just looking at the rifle "from outside", I have an idea for a simple screw adjustment, but will have to do some detailed examination and measurement to see if its' practical. Similarly it may be possible to use a two-stage spring arrangement to give a low first-stage spring rate and a stronger trigger pull-off/trigger reset rate for the second stage ... time will tell.
Fuzzy . . .
PS: Oh Dave ... I have been unfaithful a few times over the years but found that going that route ... and getting the satisfaction one desires ... is too expensive for my taste. Those Ruger gals are always wanting some new - and hopefully better - frills and gizmos to keep up with our plain ol' Czech lassies when push comes to shove !
