Old/original style magazine release?

My latest 10-22 is a later mfg with the extended magazine release and plastic trigger group. Has anyone here replaced the newer release with the old flush fit release? Looks like a simple replacement?

Happens all the time, Numrich has them in stock, $6.60 plus tax and shipping.

Nothing wrong with the old style mag release.

At least you donít accidentally release, and lose a magazine.

The old mag. release is too hard to use and takes two hands to work . And as long as you do not need to do a fast mag. change it's ok ???

For hunting, out in the field, the old mag release is fine.

For fast mag changes, which isnít used much for field use, the old style isnít very good.
