Front sight

I just bought my first Henry today I picked up the H001. I'm looking for a front sight but all the ones I've seen will not work. The one I purchased doesn't have a front barrel clamp, instead it has a metal tube holder welded to the barrel. If someone could point me in the right direction that would be greatly appreciated.

Nothing is welded, unless you bought used gun.

If it is a H001..... your front sight should look like this.

If it does not, either it has been modified or you have a different model. Octagon Barrel???

What is the answer????

No it does not look like that there is no barrel band site the front sight screws onto the top and there is a dovetailed magazine tube holder underneath. I have looked and cannot find any information about why it's different but it was bought brand new from Walmart. I think I have the problem solved I can buy a hi Viz sight cut off the barrel clamp do a little filing a little bluing and it should bolt right up. That's the theory anyhow LOL

Then they've changed the design, hence the confusion.
