i had one of these back in the late 50s early 70s and it ended up with my brother , its long gone now and was never much of a show piece to start with , my recollection was fake ivory grip scales and a matt finish but its been a long time now ,

so i found one available that has fake ivory grip scales with brass medallions , serated trigger[i dont remember this back when] blued as is the hammer , the frame seems to be the matt finish i recall but the cylinder and barrel are a gloss blue/black , the owner neglected so a little surface rust i need to clean up but not real bad ,
hamden made , W-100 model , six digit 815xxx serial number ,

i like it because its like everything else ive bought - reminiscent of my youth era , so ill keep it , would not be my first choice today for a SAA type revolver [but then its not a SA - its a SA/DA isnt it ? ] it seems to function fine and the working parts show little wear , not at all like the one of my youth that was well worn , neglected and abused ,

interested in others opinions and recollections ,

From your title I thought you were talking about the Western Auto Revelation 99 - a version of the Sentinel made fore Western Auto.

I do know what a Double Nine is. Yours is an early first year gun.
