Almost bought one in '72 when I bought my first real rifle. Remington 742 in .30-06 with Weaver 2X7 scope. Still have it and it shoots great and accurate. Never changed the scope as wanted to leave it as I bought it.
Ugh, that reminds me, property taxes due in Florida this month. If you pay early you get a 4% discount. Taxes even went down $700 this year. Go figure.

In before Splatz

Wook: I can't discuss last night's election here. Rules against foul language and politicking being what they are.

The new shotgun shoots better with constricted chokes, than with them wide open. I broke several pairs, which made me grin a little

My RIA 1911 suddenly decided it didn't want to feed my 200gr LSWC's.

The Ruger Security Six, with it's awesome Pachmayr Gripper Grips shoots great as usual, and suffers no feeding issues.

A great time was had. It started out a bit brisk, but the blazing sunshine quickly warmed it up.

Home now. Watching the Saint's play

In on the second page.

Spent a lovely morning here at home taking down old venetian blinds and putting up new ones. I would rather someone beat me with a stick than make me do venetian blinds.

Other than, all's well. Woke up alive this morning, so I guess I'm a winner

Earlier today, I attached a cheap wire dipole antenna to the tv in the bedroom. I was shocked to get 7 high def channels. Now I need to look into a cheap DVR device as I'm never going watch four minutes of commercials.

Michigan has structured things so many things renews on your birthday. Thankfully I renewed my CPL six months early so I only have to deal with drivers license and my vehicle tags that have doubled since last year.

For those with multiple vehicles and a cpl that has to be a big hit.

Yes, jnyork. I need to replace the ones in the Train Box. Old plastic mini-blinds. DIRTY. No need cleaning. Probably 12 years old or older. Think I will go with the fake wood larger ones. One set at one window will be covered by the back of a mountain.

dlong, you in NJ and got a place in FL. A lot warmer in FL than NJ.

Yeah, but we work in Jersey to pay for the place in Florida. Just ain’t right. I like being in NY for the holidays. Somehow Christmas and 80 degree weather just doesn’t seem right.

Yes, Wifey's Caddy came due [we transferred plates from 4 Runner] this month. Property taxes are added in plus Town fees. $365 4 Runner went to $865 Caddy. Vehicles insurance due to month too. From $620 every six months to $900 with new Caddy. She doesn't pay any of that. Spoiled.

Moving pickup to Edgecombe Co. registration. Drops Co. taxes and no Town taxes and fees. 99% usage is farm related. May put farm tags on it.

Property taxes due by Jan. 5 for Rolesville/Wake Co. Same for farms. Wake charges a fee if you use credit card [they collect the Town taxes too]. Edgecombe does not charge a CC fee if you go to the tax office. Always do that when hunting around Christmas. Get those points. Home Owners' ins. due Jan. 6. WOW Use CC there as no additional fees. More points.

Car ins will, can, be a bit cheaper this year I see... a step in the right direction for MI.

Trigger toe, has been really sore on the bum leg lately. It looks like it has a fungus nail but they say 50% or so aren't. Its mostly numb except for pain. Good knowledgable foot Doc but he's knife happy so I may see another. They usta poke pins on my foot frequently to see how the nerves were growing back 524 moons ago. The middle end part of my foot never was right after.
Sooo, I got some new sole inserts but I think just cutting the toes' part out altogether will give the lil piggies more room with less rubbing/atigitation. I don't want any blood letting on the foot/toe with its pee poor veinous return circulation. All world problems. Always something.

Finn's gone to something somewhere; apparently I wasn't paying attention when she told me days ago. When she left I told her to have a good time and "Love you later."

Property taxes going up everywhere. Pretty soon you guys will catch up to Jersey. No hefty auto fees here. Just yearly registration. Prius is $46, bmw is $76.

Every time I complained about taxes or car insurance or other bills, my dad used to say, “Just be happy you’ve got money to pay them.”
