I started long range shooting by groundhog hunting, them to 1000yds and 600yds benchrest. I got into long range rimfire about 5 years ago. It is just fun. Find some ammo you gun likes and shoot. I shoot match sticks, playing cards into and small KYL steel at 50 yds. shotshells hulls ( down to 410 hulls) gum balls, and KYL steel at 100yds. Steel out to 150yds.

I do it mainly to break the boredom of shooting 50 yard groups. I've learned that shooting better quality ammo and reading the wind more closely pays off when doing it.
