I see two different pistol grips. Who makes the black one with the back extension?

Yeah, I was told today to expect a 3 week delay. That's from a Canadian distributor though.

I'm supposed to be on a waiting list, but I'm not sure at this point.
Are the kits shipping from the suppliers?

that's nice. I ordered from Cactus on the 19th, and my order status is "processing". when i inquired about this on the 27th, they said they were waiting on the second batch from Nordic which was supposed to be in their (CT's) hands yesterday. here I am with still no stock and no shipping email from CT.

so just 'cuz the website says "in stock" doesn't mean they're really there, it just means that someone didn't update their site after all of the Nordics in the first batch shipped.

Brownells, Cactus Tactical, Tactical Solutions, Shooters Connection, JP Enterprises, Fab Sports, Pacific Gun (probably some we forgot to mention) all were shipped stocks this past week.

Not all have them pre-sold, not sure on who does and who does not.

The stocks are availible thru one of the above.

Some of the bigger companies may not even have them thru their system yet, and don't know that they infact really have them. You know.....the paper work/orders received entry stuff.

We may be a little bit behind at the factory, but 95% of the distributors and dealers have them and/or will have them in their system by next week.

OK.. I just have to ask this.

I understand "dream rifles" and all that, shiney polished stainless steel tackdrivers... and I understand super-cheap blackish tactical plinkers, but....

If you are going to spend this much on a 10/22 + kit + magpul stock + all those AR accesories....

Why not just get an ar with a .22 upper?

Wouldnt that.... be the "Ultimate" in tactical? I never really understood the tactical 10/22 that strives to be almost a AR... when you can buy an AR.

Simple... because the 10/22 is a disease.

I myself have spent hours already debating between an EVO build or a Nordic build. I have been all over the road deciding which barrel, which forearm, which stock. Of course, this is more than half the fun. Last week I was about to pull the trigger on an EVO... this week I'm leaning toward the Nordic. I'm kinda tired of the standard AR look. Both these kits add something just a little different. Next week I'll likely order something. Like I said...

Oh, I had a hard time deciding between a AR15 or build a AR22. Here are my key reasons:

- Cost. Around $600 more for the AR15 w/a 22lr conv. kit.
- I already have a handful of mags (but of course I want more!)
- Simple design.
- I like to build.
- Already a AR15 in the family.

If you want an AR that shoots .22LR then I agree that buying an AR makes sense. What if you're bored with AR's though? Even though this uses a lot of AR goodies, it's still something different that has a distinctive look to it. Besides, all of this stuff can be taken off and used on your next AR, sold or traded and you still have a 10/22 receiver that you can use to build the next great thing to come along in the 10/22 universe.
