At the time of this contest, I spoke with the president of Boeing (Harry C. Stonecipher)
about it.
(He was a customer of mine).

I told him I thought the design was going to produce the ugliest fighter that I'd ever seen.
That's interesting. I thought it was pretty ugly myself.

How about this one in Belgium? Why would you put a plane on a stick this way? Makes it look like it's going to crash.

Metal fatigue and stress cracks at the corners of the large square windows. Sudden depressurization occurred after the window blew out, destroying the airplane.

VERY nice (the upper one) and "Hmmmm...." on the lower.

Methinks the guy who mounted the lower one may have set it on the stick backwards. Just to give him the benefit of the doubt.

I have been inside that 747. You do not realize how big they are until you go in one that is stripped of all but 10 or so seats!

Also got to tour 2 shuttles. Not inside of course but under them and up on the scaffolding all around it. Motors are amazing. Six 17" fuel lines!

My best friend was "Mid Bay Project Manager" in Palmdale. His folks were the crew that reconfigured the cargo bay on the shuttles. A real privilege to be able to get up close to those amazing machines.

Beat me to it.

Here's another:

This aircraft carried passengers across the Atlantic and back in the lap of luxury, no expense was spared. It was powered by 4 huge 1200 horsepower diesel engines.
