What would work for holding about 10-12 of the 10 round mags?

A Pelican 1040 case will exactly hold 10 of them. If you're not concerned about keeping them absolutely separated, an old Crown Royal bag will do pretty well for just carrying them to the range, but they will bang around in the bag some.

Size a padded gun case to include the mags. You won't leave them at home.

The pelican 1040 is an awesome solution. Works great and holds them snugly.

Are we talking to take to the Range? Or on a walk-about? For both I use a small fanny pack.

Ok, I'll admit I'm a hoarder, I have 22 mags I've accumulated, with (2) of these full and two mags I keep as 'spares'.
I'm figuring at some point the 21 year old kid leaves home, takes one of the two rifles, and 1/2 the mags.

I'm a piker...only have 5 10 round mags for my 10-22, and a BX 25, which works in the 10-22 and 77 22. I use my speedloader pouch to carry two of the 10 rounders, and with a 10 in the gun, that does me for a good afternoon of walkabout, or whatever.

For the Pelican 1040 users, do you use the foam insert to get all 10 magazines to perfectly fit?

No just the molded rubber part, it's a tight but tidy fit.

Thank you! You just saved me a few bucks, since these are available without the foam insert. It looks like the most elegant solution for transporting.

Took a dry run at posting pics, ran out of steam a few paragraphs in.

Upright they stack in nice and snug, not terribly so but its still a few pounds of force. The inner gasket is nice and keeps them from rattling. The 1010 does a good job with 3 magnum magazines, but needs a small foam strip.

Wish there was as smaller snug fit case that would hold a few without a rattle. I have a double pouch and its just not very well made. Might have to order a 1010 and cut some foam to have a spare 3 for hunting with no rattle.
