$459 to $499 is the most consistent price Iíve seen after the Chinavirus madness.

Why not try to order through your LGS? A T1X is going to cost either side of $500 whether it's bought locally or ordered on-line. And it may even be cheaper locally when you factor in FFL fees, shipping costs and maybe CC charges. Even if it does cost a little more, I'd rather spend a few extra bucks at a neighborhood shop if it helps the guy stay in business. It's nice to have a place to stop in for ammo, to browse and fondle, or just to shoot the breeze.

(Full disclosure: I live in NH. What is Sales Tax???)

I can't "+1" this enough.

I support my LGS 100% unless I just can't get what I need any other way.

More than once I've had a LGS go out of their way to help with a problem, just because they know I support them.

I'll add my +1 also. Getting in good with a local shop can have some really nice perks. Dealer I use gives me a nice discount on anything I buy, at least 10% and up to 25% off marked price, they've called when certain mil-surps I collect walked in the door and gave me first dibs, they'll order ammo for me when they send in shop orders at their price, etc etc. Not to mention its just a good place to blow a hour or 2 just shooting the breeze.

I don't think you are doomed to "Burn in Hell" for that! To be honest, i think we all do our share of on-line shopping, too. I just try to give the local guys first shot when I have money to spend. So far, I don't think I've overpaid for any firearm purchases by dealing with an LGS. Accessories, though, are a different story.

My favorite LGS stocks very few sundry items beyond guns, magazines, ammo and cleaning supplies. His position is that it makes no sense for him to be a showroom for Amazon, Wal-Mart and the other on-line retailers. He knows he can't compete on price so why tie up cash in inventory? He's a bit of a curmudgeon, but gives great deals on the stuff he does sell. I'm OK with that.

Local Murdoch's stores had the 22LR version on an "in-store special" at $399 for most of the month of May. I resisted... 'til the very last day.

Agreed. I use a modified approach. I order through Davidson's Gallery of Guns. Their prices are very competitive, they ship promptly and they offer a lifetime guarantee on any firearm they sell. Participating FFLs have an agreement already in place that defines how much profit they will make on the deal and includes shipping and the transfer fee.
