Sorry if I'm being thick, but the link you posted goes to smith-wessonforum.com, not rimfirecentral.com

Do you mean the attachment worked there but not here?

No, Kevin; I don't believe that's it. I think I have it figured out.

The member created a thread here with a post containing a link to a thread on another discussion site. He wanted to share their comments regarding the proposed "buy back" options being bandied about by US political candidates running in the Democratic primary by posting a link to it here. That thread was deleted because it violates this site's terms of service regarding political discussion.

I'm guessing he signed in hoping to find responses to his post and searched on his user name for "posts by...." and found the link to the deleted thread. When he tried to open it he got the message he quoted above.

Short version -- it's not an attachment that is missing; it's his thread. It's missing because it was deleted. It was deleted because it violated this site's terms of service.

do not know what is going on - original link works initially + is working in post #4 in this thread - also have not been able to directly post photos at all in over a week - function worked back then on RFC then , currently working perfectly on all other forums I participate in -

Read the thread. It was deleted. It was deleted because you shouldn't have posted it.

over the years I have found them to be monitored + administered much better , with A+ tech support - much more reliable then RFC in past few years - - I agree that Sophia is a definite asset to here ! - but it takes more then one person to ensure that site runs smoothly like some others on the net -
