The Stainless version of this revolver has my interest and I am aware of one locally but the price has me confused. Looking at New Retail the prices range from $479.99 to $459.99 but the one I'm offered is priced at $525.00. I know there will be tax so is this a fair price for a used revolver such as I have described? I asked over on the "Hand Gun Forum" yesterday and had no replies so I need your help here as you can help with the decision. I guess another question should be: I've never owned a Taurus so are these revolvers quality made and worth having? Thank You!

I have a 990 Tracker in 22lr. Its a nice gun. Butits not a $525 gun. Used , its a $300 gun.The double action trigger is vey heavy. Single action is fine.

I paid $400 for a used Ruger SP101 .22. I think the guy selling it is either emotionally attached to it or he doesn't know a Taurus from a Smith.

Bought one locally last winter for 400, it had a cylinder gap issue that was more than a bit irritating. Buddy decided he had to have it. So it was passed to him, Taurus did eventually fix it but the timeline could be measured in months not weeks or days.

My recdomendation is go new from a place with good service, just in case it's a bit to much Taurus. Hopefully with the new us center completed this winter that's a things the past. It's a cool little gun, boy does it loose some fps....
