If Savage brings out a different B Mag caliber it will have WSM in the caliber name, as in 20WSM. Even that might not be very easy, they could not get a hollow point 17WSM to feed well.

Question correct scope for 5mm mag

Hi Guys. It looks like I'm about to become the owner of a Rem. 592M. 1st, any serious negatives I should be aware of? Now that pretty decent ammo is available I will be able to actually use the rifle. I'm not collector, I use them. It's in nearly pristine shape. It will go nicely with my 580 and 581. It occurred to me that a .22 rimfire scope with the parralax set at 50 yards might not be the right scope for this, since the muzzle velocity is around 2300 FPS. So maybe just a half decent 2-7 or 3-9 centerfire scope? Thoughts?

Even a 4x12 AO or SF for 100yd tree squirrels is not too much.

I have a Burris Fullfield II 4.5-14 with Ballistic Plex reticle on my 592.

It's not too much. I've made it to 280 yards, one shot kill on a groundhog with it. It's capable of farther....gun AND scope.

If you can't get the bolt back in after cleaning there's a utube showing perzakly how the bolt has to be aligned for insertion.

Yeah, you know, like in a tent with hands waving in the air and a rattlesnake on the pulpit.
