Yes, very interesting Steve B.

Now it is just a matter of the usual decision-making process............

2nd mortgage?

Divorce attorney?

....etc......

If you start selling plasma now, you will get a good amount saved away before they arrive.

I suspect the first shipment is gonna get sucked up pretty quick. We already have some big fish in the pond ringing our phones.

It's been hard to keep this under wraps - very hard. I'm surprised it didn't leak out.

Can medium large fish suck up to the first shipment? I'm good for one.

SteveB, any word on if these will replace the existing 17xx series of rifles?

Steve, any hints

as to what configuration the first arrivals might be? I need (want) to know so I'll know whether to plan on an earlier or later purchase. Actually, any info or reasonable conjectures will be welcome.
TIA,
Jack

I'd guess 1918 precise stock and choice of three barrels: 690mm, 660mm and 500mm with bloop essentially replicating the current 1913 and 1907 offerings in the 1918 stock. Possibly they might drop one of those configurations (but which?).

I could see it offered in a 1913 wood thumbhole stock for the traditionalists who yearn for a rifle with a closer loading port.

I don't see this being offered in 1907-pattern wood stocks. This will be a high end competition prone gun designed to compete with $10,000 Bleikers.

At some point a barreled action may be offered, but I doubt right away. They'll have enough trouble fulfilling complete rifle orders.

EDIT: since the example one shown has a bloop tube I'd guess, if they dropped any current barrel configuration it would be the 660mm.

Eh, I'm not sure. Seems like they are quite busy fussing about. I'll just keep to the bucket and mop. Might drag one of the barreled actions home for squirrel hunting. Got a few pesky critters up in the attic.

Both+, actually. Shorter reach, shorter throw, shorter bolt. Compare the hind end lengths of the bolts. As I said. Catching up to Walther and Bleiker.

I would like to be on the list for this, I was actually considering ordering a new rifle at the start of next year but if this stays in the $4k range ill bite. my alternate choice was an Anschutz 2013 precise with 690mm barrel.

the new action also looks to be of Stainless, what are the thoughts on this?

Was at Champions Choice back sales counter yesterday and ask Homer about the new rifle availability; he said it would be sometime in 2016.
He had no idea on pricing yet, did mention he had received several phone calls about it already.

Interesting rifle, but having the Anschutz name on other than the top of the receiver,is a bit much.It doesn't have to be five places, four of them overly large.

The action is chromoly that is silver nitrided, just like the 2013, but polished a bit more.

I expect the first batch to arrive in July.
