The large pin that connects the pump handle to the arm that goes to the arm to the pump head is loose. Is there a fix to this problem or is there some parts that have to be replaced.. The 4-H shooting sports club has several Daisy 717 and have never had a problem like this 747 Avanti has.

You can restake the pin on both sides to keep it from coming out. Mine is loose and I have to do this every few years. You can also buy another new Pump Lever Assembly but that will also, in time, loosen.

The pin can be re-staked. Don't go too far. Also, the pin is not quite as long as the arm is thick, so take a bit of feeler blade and form it into a circle that is about pin dia to support it in the middle before applying hammer and punch. A small cut off wheel did quite well for me on the 777 I currently have charge of. My wife's 777 does not yet exhibit a loose pin, and hers has more miles on it than mine...LOL
