3 New Shooters.

Since Joe is backed up and not going to have time to post individual scores this month, I'm going to post a copy of my email to him with the Kansas results. Nothing to bragg about scorewise (for me and Joe anyway) but we got three new shooters that all did real well at 25 and respectable at 50 yards, Especially with one of them shooting buck a box ammo! And I want to brag about them a little.

Hi Joe.
I've got FIVE people who shot scores in both 25 and 50 yards from Kansas this month! Three of us shot once on March 4th and then we all got together and shot last Saturday, the 26th. And I still didn't have a chance to shoot 4 targets at 50 yards, let alone shoot some with my 10/22. 50 yard scores were in the toilet this time around, but I promised I'd post them anyway.

Well if you're still doing teams, Here is a set of scores from Kansas. We call ourselves the Johnson County Regulators since the range we shoot at is in Johnson County, Kansas. If we're not doing states anymore, heres a bunch of individual scores. Everyone except myself and Joe Wilson is brand new to the email matches. We only had time to do 2 targets at 25 yards and one at 50 for most of us.

25 yards. Best of 2

"Whines and Gripes":
1. A "Stealth" Wind. It didn't apear to be blowing at all at the bench but was gusting all over the place down range, and some idiot (me) forgot to bring the wind flags!
2. We were rushing due to the fact that the highpower match next to us was going to shut down the rest of the range complex when they moved back to shoot the 500 yard stage.
3. Kept getting interupted by various people, which complicated #2.
4. I ran out of Eley Club the day I shot the 50 yard target (earlier in the month) and had to switch to Eley Trainer.
5. Tony and Jim were using brand new home made bench rests for the first time and they needed tweaking. Fortunatly I had brought my hammer. : )
Now my goal for May is to get Rimfireshooter and JoKeR to join us in the email matches as well.
We do add up all the scores from a state to decide that states score right?

Welcome aboard, guys - Great to have another team competing. The more, the merrier. Congrats on some nice shooting, too.
