I found my first 22 hornet at a LGS.
Probably most excited I've been in a long time to find something new.
It's in layaway now and I'm trying to gather info on it, seems info online is few and far between.

I should have taken some detail shots but didn't think info would be so scarce.

The rifle had a scope on it, old original straight tube which I'll replace. The rear sight wasn't there though. It was removed for clearance for the scope.

First question for anyone who knows. The rear dovetail looked standard. Front sight was there but it had a base and I think a dovetail front on top of that. Would a 10/22 aftermarket rear be the right height? This is probably something I'll have to try out but thought I'd ask here.

I'm trying to gather parts before I pick it up.

2nd question. It's old but it's a stout rifle. From what I can find info wise. It's built the same as the 30-30 model. Are there any factory loads I should avoid due to the age?

If anyone has knowledge of these I'd also love to get any info at all on them.
