SA-22 Rear sight removal---help!

I cannot get this thing budge. Following the directions they say remove from left to right. It doesn't want to move either direction. I tried my hammer with a wood block, and finally ended up trying my hammer with steel punch. still stuck!!

I put a little marvel mystery oil on it and will let it soak all night. If it still doesn't move are there any creative suggestions. I thought of trying a C clamp to use as a pusher but the one i have is way too big.

Avoid a steel punch!! (Don't ask me how I know that. Ha, my barrel still has two dings in it, placed there by an impatient, untalented 16 y.o. me, with no proper tools, 53 years ago.)
And if you've already trashed the rear sight or consider it an expendable, you might consider carefully grinding the sight in half sideways-thin grinding wheel or hacksaw)

Other than a press or enlisting a gunsmith, I'd resort to the use of some heat and cold.

I haven't messed up the sight yet but did get a real small ding in the barrel. I'll try find a brass punch as that sounds like the best alternative. Thanks guys!!

50/50 mix of ATF and acetone makes a great penetrating oil for situations like this.
