The list of Factory class rifles accepted is for rifles not currently in production. Rifles currently in production must have an MSRP below $1000 as I understand it.
wow... trying to hunt it down on the ARA website is challenging. I found it, then went back to pull up again and had to hunt for a short time to find again!
I need more coffee
The 540X was never legal for factory class ARA. The 540 is a single shot, and Factory class rules start with rule that states the rifle must be a mag or tube fed repeater
Factory Class was never intended for "target rifles". The 540X was somehow "approved" even though it is 100% a target rifle. Everyone knew it wasn't right at the time. That has been corrected.
Thanks - yes makes sense that the serial numbers should match.
When I was looking through the equipment for factory, I noticed most rifles were 457's and was wondering what gives these 'an edge' over the Tika or Bergara and immediately thought of the easy barrel change with the set screws on the CZs.
Thanks for the info
