Help me select a Titan stock color

Log in to see fewer ads
I am in the process of upgrading the stock on my factory blued receiver, bead blasted stainless Kidd barreled 10/22. I have been away from this site for awhile and have a new found interest in my rimfires again. I have decided on a Titan stock upgrade and am now just trying to decide on a color. I have searched forums already looking for pics but looking for more pictures of builds using Titan stocks to help me decide. Any pictures of your builds using Titan stocks is greatly appreciated.

Also would appreciate your thoughts on the Titan spike anchor. Should I go ahead and bite the bullet and get it now or try it without first?

Thank You.

I think the Titan Spike is a great idea to help eliminate the problems that come from only having a single TD screw. As far as what color, only you can decide that. Everyone has different tastes. For me personally I like a black stock with a silver barreled action and the FDE with a black barreled action.

yeah, I kinda like the Black and FDE combo myself

ODGreen and Black with a touch of color isn't bad either

but, since you have a black receiver and a silver barrel, go with the classic Black and Silver

maybe add a silver bolt and trigger blade

as far as the spike goes..as long as you don't mind the marring it does to the rear of your receiver, it's a simple and quick way to hold down the rear of the receiver

ETA: hope you don't mind me using my p80 builds, but they are the only things I have in the colors of the Titan stocks

I just built a new rifle with a Titan stock in FDE but my action is all black .
I think with your color mix black might be a solid choice , but I could see FDE working as well.

As far as the spike I say do it. It really locks the action in place. It will mar the received a little , but nothing you can see. It doesnt take much pressure to get it all locked in [ 10-15 inch pounds seems to be working fine so far]., so its not gouging a huge divet in it either.

I've got the black titan but had it dipped with the Kryptek Typhon reduced pattern and shot with a flat clear coat. The silver pattern is more or less stealthed on the stock. I'll see if I can post a pic of it.

Dark colors show less dirt. Guns are dirty oily creatures. That being said, i do prefer od green over fde and black, and black over fde. Generally, with plastic stocks ill just buy the cheapest.Do they have a bright yellowone? That would go good with a black receiver and a silver barrel. You could call it “ Yellow Jacket” or Honey Bee, or Murder Hornet 🐝

Thank you everyone for your replies. I decided on Black, got a good deal on a package which included the Spike so I went all in. I will try to post a picture when I get it done. I told my wife it was my fathers day gift. I hope she lets me unwrap it early. 😁. I am looking to the new KRG stock (in a different color) when they are available as an excuse to build another one. I forgot how addicting this is. I will have to call my counselor for help!

Thanks guys!

Black Titan with silver LVT. You can barely see the Kryptek Typhon reduced pattern on it.
